Day 1 Progress

Well, I finally got to cast on at about 7:30 PST, when the rebroadcast of the Opening Ceremonies started. Progress for one evening?

I got to Row 16 of the body, after doing the hem and a turning row. A solid first effort, I'd say... today is going to be a bigger effort, seeing as I have no plans other than sitting on the couch watching the games... well, I'll go to the gym a bit later and get some groceries, but other than that, I'll be knitting all day :-)

It's beautiful! Last night I got 12 rows of ribbing, then the 13 rows of pattern before the pocket done before I went to bed. I cast on at 2:30 mountain time, and didn't even get to see the flame lit because it was on so late here in Denver. What a bummer.

I love the orange. I am just meandering through the links on Yarn Harlot today and checking out Team Rogue's progress. We all seem to be doing well so far. You definitely made the right choice in not doing the hem in twisted stockinette - it was slower than swimming through treacle! happy knitting!
